This specialist is required to focus on the value which company’s systems deliver to the business and their stakeholders, and to make improvements to the way in which the systems are structured, developed, implemented, accessed, reported on and communicated. This company has implemented management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001. The specialist will ensure that these systems are effective and relevant to the company and stakeholders, their impacts and their context.Responsibilities:Manage a team of 2 x SHE OfficersManage and support 1 x Occupational Health Nurse and clinicDevelop, execute and manage an engagement plan, in conjunction with the HR and Marketing teamsManage and maintenance and efficacy of the company SHEQ structure and provide support and guidance to the people appointed to carry out duties as required by legislation and management system requirementsManage compliance and the requirements of and ongoing improvement of Occupational Health and Safety Management SystemEnsure statutory risk assessments and surveys are in placeManage compliance with the requirements of, and ongoing improvement of the Environmental Management SystemManage compliance with the requirements of, and ongoing improvement of the Quality Management systemDevelop a SHEQ strategy that outlines the key focus areas of the function per financial yearSystems: ISO 14001, 45001, 9001 ISO 3100 The Legal TeamRequirements:Minimum of 5 years experience in a SHEQ Management role in a manufacturing / production environmentExperience liaising with top management and executivesSustainable development principles and practices experiences, with a specific focus on sustainable production and consumptionWorking knowledge of the institutional and legal frameworks which govern safety, health and environment in South AfricaExcellent working knowledge of the requirements ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 and how to implement and improve these systems in an organisationAbility to chair and facilitate effective meetings with a range of stakeholdersPresentation skills to management and executive levels
