Reporting to the Commercial Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be based in Cape Town and will be responsible for the following:REQUIREMENTSMatric is essential and a tertiary qualification will be an advantage2 to 3 years IT distribution experience in the sales support roleVaccination Certificate RequiredTechnology drivenRelevant technical knowledgeCopes effortlessly within a high stress and pressurized environmentService quality orientatedCustomer focusedAttending training sessions – during and after working hoursExcellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills requiredExcellent administration skills requiredBasic calculations (ability to work with numbers)Self-actualization (capacity to assert oneself)Motivation (ability to motivate others)KEY RESPONSIBILITIE:Customer RelationshipsIdentifying and understanding role players in each assigned accountLiaise between divisions and customers to efficiently communicate deliveries and ETA’s feedback etc.First point of contact with the customerPortraying professionalism and confidence that delivers the ultimate in customer serviceTo build and maintain an active customer base to support the sales teamAccount PlanningProactivity on sales by implementing an agreed sales strategy with the Account manager on named accountsUnderstanding of each assigned account, with the ability to give regular feedbackQuotations should meet specifications as per requirement, thorough insight of specific account or department should be taken into consideration when quotingSpecific objectives set for each account / ownership of account / understanding of individualAccount’s terms and conditionsExcellent time management and personal organizational skillsSales SupportSupport the Sales team and develop new salesTo capitalize on opportunities through negotiation of prices to achieve sales targets set by the Management team.Maintain an agreed level of pro-active telephone contact with both existing and prospective customersEffectively deal with telephone enquiries requesting quotations for products, compiling information on the desired products or datasheetsMaximize sales by continually expanding orders and up selling on all incoming and outgoing callsLiaise daily with the external sales team and update them on any developments on their accounts, ensuring a high level of team relationships existCross-discipline team workingOrder Process – Consultative SellingCreate quotations from requests receivedEnsure all orders received are entered into the system accuratelyMeet and exceed the agreed SLA’s on quoting and deliveriesEnsure a consistent closure rate within appropriate timelinesStrong attention to detailFollow up on warehouse until in production and to deliveryAccount Managers to be cc’d on all correspondence on their accountsEnsure all quotations are followed upClient CommunicationEnsure that all customer complaints, issues, and queries reach a successful and appropriate conclusionActivity ReportingProcessing of relevant orders, delivery notes / collection notes, back orders, ETA’s, and feedback communicationFiling of relevant documentsFollow up of queries, quotations, deliveries, payments timeouslyProvide management with sales on hand reports timeously on a weekly basis
