Job Number 68564 Job Type Permanent Job Title HR Specialist Computer Skills Kronos Industry Manufacturing City Ekurhuleni (East Rand) Province Gauteng Job Description Payroll Administration:Prepare and manage payroll processes.Review timesheets data and hours worked.Manage, maintain and update payroll related data.Update salary sheets and schedules.Submit payroll reports and sheets on time to the finance or other related department.Assist administrative or finance staff in processing payrolls of new employees or terminated ones.Manage all Trade Union subscriptions and effect all new membersEnter information into the payroll system about employee taxes, exemptions, transfers, dismissals and resignations as details changeRespond to any errors in payroll by reviewing past records and making any wage corrections or adjustments when necessaryTrack employee absences through the payroll software and record details about personal days, sick leave, IOD duty and extended leaves.Answer employee questions about payroll, leave amounts, tax forms and other compensation issues when asked.Correct all underpayments and overpayments the following month of that pay query.Communicate to all HOD leave balances.Ensure all payslips are given or sent to all employees.Communicate all payroll deadlinesHR OperationsEnsures the effective implementation of HR procedures and policies. This includes policies relating to Recruitment and Selection, Compensation, Performance Management, Training and Development, Employee Welfare, Succession Planning, Retention, Labour Relations, etc.Ensure implementation of HR activities relating to Employee Engagement, Succession Planning, Performance Management, Compensation, HR Information Systems (HRIS), etc.Manage and execute the onboarding process for all new recruits. Supports the development of the HR budget by providing relevant HR data and forecasts. Ensure all required HR reporting is done.Review and audit of HR filing and documentation, ensuring correct standards are maintained and policy complied with.Ensure each employee has a signed contract, a Job Description, and related documents on file.Manage the exit interview process and documentation.Conducting exit interviews upon termination of employment.Issuing Certificate of Service and Issuing UI 19Finalise withdrawal documentation of provident/pensions funds.Employment Equity/BBBEEMonitor the implementation of the EE plan and ensure compliance with the EE Act.Arrange and coordinate the EE & SD meetingsProvide data for the BBBEE audits Employee Compensation and BenefitsDesigns, implements, and maintains a compensation structure that promotes equity and internal compensation parity for all employeesDesigns and implements a compensation and rewards framework that will provide a competitive edge for Company and facilitate employee retentionConducts periodic employee costs forecasting, and annual budgetary management to ensure cost savingsImplements and maintain Group life, Medical scheme and requirements of workmen compensation act as stipulated within regulatory frameworkEnsures the prompt resolution of problems relating to employee compensation and benefitCoordinates the management of employee’s tax, PAYE and pensionPerformance ManagementAssist and schedule performance reviews for new staff on contract or probation.Assist line managers and supervisors with annual formal performance reviews / staff appraisals.Review and improve systems to company needs.
