Job Number 68563 Job Type Permanent Job Title Quality Assurance Supervisor Computer Skills Minitab,Ms Office,QAS,SAP System Industry Manufacturing City Ekurhuleni (East Rand) Province Gauteng Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Supervise the quality, process and chemical teams; as well as a warehouse for finished products, through the monitoring of performance, process and product indicators, developing self-management skills, encouraging self-development and personal/professional growth, in order to guarantee compliance with the requirements, satisfying the internal and external needs of stakeholdersAnalyses process and product indicators, holding regular meetings with suppliers, in order to seek better performance results for the inputs used in the production process.Support the Production Manager in the management of production equipment, maintenance and support processes, through the monitoring of performance indicators and statistical analysis, in order to seek improvement of results for the company.Encourage and apply the use of statistical techniques, quality tools in the production process, Lean Manufacturing tools and Integrated Management System; through continuous training and daily instruction for work teams, in order to develop an environment of continuous improvement.Adopt and promote the guidelines regarding the Environment, Health and Safety, showing a commitment and awareness of the impacts of the production processes and the behaviours exercisedAdopt and promote the best 5S practices, stimulating organized work and the feeling of ownership, through the application of the senses of use, order, cleanliness, health and self-discipline; in order to seek an improvement both in the environment of the organization and in the quality of life; as well as cost reduction and increased productivity. 5S auditManage the food safety team, in order to coordinate their work considering the skills of each member of the multidisciplinary team.Administer training related to food safety and management, for the other employees of the safety factory and keep updated and implemented the verification plan of the food safety management system.Report to the senior management the effectiveness and suitability of the food safety management system.Keep interested parties informed about the operation of the food safety management system.Responsibilities of the food safety team memberEnsure that relevant information is included in the updating of food safety managementGuarantee the production of safe products, through the establishment, implementation, maintenance and updating of the management systemProvide training related to food safety management system to other factory employeesManage the food safety team, coordinate their work, taking into account the skills of each member of the multidisciplinary team.Develop in conjunction with ESA (GMP Manual, prerequisite program, HACCP study, Process Flowchart, among others), all the necessary documentation to comply with the food safety management system.
