Purpose of the job:To protect the company’s debtor assets by ensuring on-time, and in-full recovery of receivablesExperiential and Educational requirements:• Matric • Degree / National Diploma in Credit Management• Minimum 3 to 5 years credit related experience • Computer Literacy, MS Office (intermediate to advanced)Essential duties and responsibilities:• Protect the company against overdue debtors, and ensure that all processing is as per the Credit Policy Guidelines of the Company• Follow up overdue payments by telephone, and email within agreed timelines. Visit customers where necessary.• Maintain accurate records of all debtor’s activity.• Identify changes in payment patterns and propose action to avert overdues.• Ensure that all transactions are completed before month end.• Issue monthly statements and obtain bi-annual confirmation on all accounts.• Allocate cash received to the relevant accounts.• Obtain debtors reconciliations and resolve all queries. • Respond promptly and completely to both clients and internal enquiries• Keep up to date with new credit management techniques and practices• Ensure Customer Master Data on SAP is updated at all times• Support all external audits at quarter, half and final year end• Comply with standard operating procedures and PACI requirements • Identify operational issues and track these with management to resolve• Submit kaizen ideas to improve operational efficiencies and enhance team effectiveness and profitability• Ensure all non-compliances are reported timeously to management
