Mechanical Engineer (Bulk Handling Materials)An industry-leading company situated in Gauteng is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Mechanical Engineer (Bulk Handling Materials)  to join their team.Key Performance Areas (KPAs): Define fit for purpose and cost-effective solutions for various equipment such as conveyors, screens, crushers, and mining infrastructure supporting equipment.Review and produce flow sheets for mechanical flow diagrams, verifying the correctness of depicting of equipment, mechanical handling, and packaged units, operating and design specificationsCompile mechanical datasheets and requisition mechanical handling and packaged unitsPrepare requisition index for mechanical handling and packaged units, indicating the planned issue date for each requisitionReview document requirements and issue dates for major equipment with suppliers and assist Procurement Department in compiling a Supplier’s Document IndexReview vendor documentation and prepare technical bid analysis and evaluation reports for  mechanical handling and packaged unitsResponsible to ensure that all relevant engineering disciplines review and have provided comments on supplier documents.Coordinate reviews of all other engineering aspects of packaged unit supplier ‘s drawingsResponsible for document management in accordance with procedural requirements for all documents generated and issued to the project team and/or clientPerform inspections and witness factory acceptance testing where requiredMonitoring assigned packages for technical compliance, contractual compliance, and QA/QC complianceProvide process support to the other engineering disciplines and construction staffPrepare operating manuals and provide plant support during and after commissioning and start-upMust be able to lead multi-disciplinary projectsCo-ordinate, guide, and support junior engineers and draught persons as part of daily duties.Must be able to interact with industry to source clients, contractors, and suppliersJob Requirements:BSc / BEng / BTech/ (Mechanical Engineering)Professional Registration with ECSA, or similarBulk Materials Handling Certificate / Course will be an advantageProven Mechanical Engineering working experience in Bulk Materials Handling SystemsProven consulting, design, and execution experience from FEED to commissioning, including EPCM working experience in Bulk Materials Handling Systems10 to15 years’ Mechanical Engineering experience5 to 7 years of EPC/EPCM experience within the Mining SectorProven experience in delivering projects in an EPC/EPCM environment within the Mining SectorSound knowledge and understanding of Bulk Materials Handling Systems and material flow dynamicsExcellent skills in MS Word (proper formatting of documents),PowerPoint presentation, and Excel (complex calculations and formulas).Autocad, Microstation, Inventor and Sidewinder will be an advantage.
