Job Number 68666 Skills HR ERP,Internet,Microsoft Industry Recruitment – Staffing City Ekurhuleni (East Rand) Job Description Temp & Contract Recruitment Consultant (90% of Job Description) • Permanent placement personnel consultants’ main task is to recruit suitable candidates for job vacancies on behalf of employers. • Temporary personnel consultants specialize in finding suitable candidates to fill temporary positions for companies when their permanent staff is on vacation or sick leave, for particular projects or when a company requires additional staff on a short-term basis, such as at financial year ends. • Personnel consultants are mediators between employers and job seekers. After a job order to fill a vacancy has been received from an employer, personnel consultants start the process of selecting suitable candidates; Candidates are recruited through newspaper advertisements, recommendation by other candidates and those persons who have come in to register with the agency and via the internet. The personnel consultant then interviews the suitable candidates in order to obtain the necessary information to compile curriculum vitae (C.V.) for the candidate. A C.V. is a summary of the person’s personal information, education and training, employment history and references. The personnel consultant conduct skills test to determine their potential skills. The consultant must then get references, ITC, criminal checks etc. in order to see if the person is suitable for the vacancy. At the employer’s request, the consultants then arrange a meeting between the employer and the candidate. When the employer decides to employ one of the candidates, the consultant assist both the employer and the candidate with such details as starting date, salary, other conditions of service and the letter of appointment. • The personnel consultant must also keep detailed administrative records. The temp consultants need to keep records of candidates available for temporary assignments, what skills they can offer and when and where they are available for work. The consultants are also considered the employer of the temporary worker, so they have to keep records of the hours worked, in order to pay the temp for work done on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. MARKETING & SALES (10% of Job description) TELESALES: First Priority is to bring in positions for the consultants to work on. This would be accomplished through the following sources: Leads from consultants sourced via applicants. Positions competitors advertise in newspapers. Telesales covering all areas. Client visits. Minimum of two physical client visits/meetings per day and a minimum of 10 physical client visits/meetings per week. Cold calling. THREE MAIN FUNCTIONS: 1. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: To ensure existing client base is visited regularly maintaining a close rapport with all H.R. personnel and line managers involved with recruitment. In addition, the marketing consultant must remain in contact with clients on a regularly basis addressing any specific needs / requirements they may have. 2. NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Follow up promptly on any new companies, contracts, call centres and be aware of any possibilities for new business. Including Tenders. 3. OTHER DUTIES: Continuous marketing of systems solutions and candidates to clients. Correspondence related to any special fee structure agreed to, correspondence relating to letters for placements with clients, letters of regret to clients. Organize presentations / workshops for selected clients Selling the services of Unique Personnel and yourself to clients, initially by telephone and then by way of a formal meeting Forging long-term relationships resulting in repeat business and client/candidate loyalty Interviewing candidates, either on a general basis, with a specific assignment in mind or for an advertised selection assignment Presenting suitable candidates to clients by way of detailed CVs or assessments Ensuring peripheral arrangements such as interview times, dates, job descriptions, etc. are in place and communicated to all relevant parties Providing a professional and consultative service to both clients and candidates based on your market and commercial awareness Working as an integral part of a team focusing in the broader day to day issues of business development, effective communication, systems & procedures, training and proactively maximizing commercial performance Making maximum use of your time to achieve your individual and business potential through activity, energy, persistence, drive and motivation Inherent Requirements A relevant tertiary qualification 1 – 3 years’ experience in a Recruitment environment Experience in Business Development / Sales would be advantageous Strong Business and Commercial Acumen An Individual who is Passionate, Driven and Organised Minimum Qualification Matric / Matric
