Job Number Job Type Permanent Job Title Mechanical Engineer Computer Skills Inventor,3D CAD,3D Scanning,MS Office Suite Industry Engineering City Ekurhuleni (East Rand) Province Gauteng Job Description REPORTING TO THE TECHNICAL MANAGERJOB PURPOSE:Designs and reviews moulds and mechanical products / systems by developing and testing specifications and methods.JOB FUNCTION:3D scanning of mills to ensure accurate designs and utilising data to measure and predict wear of millsConduct product development activities utilising the appropriate design principles and methodologies i.e., hand calculations and simulation studies, applicable simulation studies will comprise of FEA Product development projects are defined and are completed within agreed time frames and customer satisfaction of result of projects is measuredEvaluate equipment and production methods are evaluated to improve safetyProduct designs are completed as per customer request or approved innovation and formal report details results Material standards and specifications are compiled, made available and maintained All project related documentation i.e., correspondence, meeting minutes, contracts, purchase orders, reports, quality related documentation etc. are identified and stored per project (hard copies and/or electronically) as per departmental standardsTechnical Specifications, Markings and Drawings are maintained as per departmental procedureSafety Management is adhered to
