JOB SUMMARY: A well-established and leading manufacturing company requires the above to assist the procurement officer in the procurement of raw materials, components and services for its manufacturing facility. JOB DESCRIPTION: Minimum requirements for the role: A Supply Chain Diploma or related is preferred but not essential. Previous experience having worked as an Administrator within a procurement department or related or Junior Buyer role is essential.Must have good written and verbal and be able to communicate and converse in English at an above average level.Must be able to manage one’s own time.Previous experience having worked on SAP or related ERP system is preferred.Computer literacy is essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Supporting the Procurement Manager with administrative functions within the procurement department.Coordinating the complete procurement process with the procurement team to ensure on time delivery.Expediting purchase orders with suppliers to ensure all requirements specified in the purchase order are accomplished including material certificates, certificates of compliance, calibration certificates as required by the purchase order.Regularly tracking open orders with suppliers and ensuring efficient delivery on-time.Issuing weekly delivery schedules and expediting reports to production and other relevant stakeholders on status and orders placed.Accurately generating purchase orders from ERP purchase orders.Sourcing from suppliers and actively identifying opportunities to improve on existing suppliers. Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
