Job Description: Liaise with the customers regarding product and process specific requirements.Develop and maintain the plant layout and process flows to create the best optimized process area to be effective and efficientDevelop project plans and project costing dataDevelop APQP plans for implementation to ensure the best possible process specifications are metControls Engineering, project and APQP meetings.Oversee departmental responsibilities for engineering changes and development programs.Oversee process related downtime and find ways to eliminate thisImprove processes to reduce scrap energy and other related matters to ensure a cost saving drive within the department.Develop and implement engineering systems and procedures.Manage the implementation various programs and projects.Effectively manage subordinates and resources.Prepare engineering product information for quotation purposes.Liaise with the customers and suppliers regarding related technical issues.Ensure the company vision is upheld at all levelsEnsure adequate staffing and direct subordinates to achieve relevant goals timeouslyPlan resources and budgetsResponsible for training, coaching, and guidance of subordinatesMonitor, manage and report on the performance of the Engineering functionPlanning, organizing, controlling skillsCritical thinking and innovationExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsJob Requirements: Minimum degree/diploma with qualification in Engineering.At least 5 years in a similar environment.Minimum 5 years managerial experience.Artisan qualification will be an added advantage.Familiar with project management principles.Advance computer literacy
