Minimum requirements for the role:Minimum matric is essential for this role.A Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping or related creditors qualification is preferred but not essential.Previous experience having worked in a Debtor’s role is preferred.Computer literacy is essential with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.Must have Excel experience working on spreadsheets, and reports etc.Knowledge of sage or a related ERP System is preferred. Proven success in achieving debt collection targets is advantageous.Person must have a strong and confident and outgoing personality.Must be able to work in a team environment and follow policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Capturing all approved invoices and credit notes onto the company’s system.Producing customer statements and distributing to appropriate account managers and management as required.Receiving all proof of payments and remittances and receipt and allocating accurately.Following-up on late and overdue accounts, as per schedule.Updating, monitoring and reconciling all information dashboards daily.Generating age analysis reports weekly.Facilitating the weekly debtors meeting, collating action minutes and following-up on items and updating collection targets.Establishing and maintaining customer relationships and ensuring that the correct payment procedures are followed.Assisting with queries from customers and staff, as required. Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
