Minimum requirements for the role:Tertiary qualification in either a business or chemistry or related field preferred but not essential.Previous sales management experience is required for this role.Must be computer literate with strong Excel skills to do costings and create sales reports and presentations.Previous experience having worked within the chemical and or related industries is preferred for the role but not essential.The successful candidate will be responsible for: Maintaining and growing the companys footprint in the Southern African region.Managing and driving a sales team to achieve their KPIs.Managing and overseeing sales agencies.Presenting monthly sales and project reports to the Directors.Managing and overseeing top key accounts for the company.Driving new business development with new and existing clients alongside the sales team.Ensuring all customer requirements or special needs are communicated to the lab/plant and are delivered on time.Working closely with the technical team to develop new products and provide input regarding the technical service and sales for new products.Manage and oversee costing and pricing of all new product developments.Manage and oversee price increase negotiations.Managing bi-weekly sales project meetings with sales team to ensure sales meet KPIs.Attending bi-weekly CMR/customer project meetings with Technical Manager and Laboratory Manager.Work closely and align with General Manager, Lab Manager, Technical Manager on a weekly basis to ensure smooth customer service and be pro-active to avoid potential issues.Attending and exhibiting at local trade shows such as propak.Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
