Minimum requirements for the role: A tertiary qualification in either Food Technology or Bakery or Sales or a commercial qualification is preferred.Previous sales experience working within the food manufacturing industry is essential for the role.The company will consider a technical person who has good people skills, from the food manufacturing industry who has worked closely with a sales team and the companies clients for this role.Previous experience working within the bakery industry is preferred.Must be computer literate in MS Office.The successful candidate will be responsible for: Managing and growing the customer base in the Western Cape and Namibia in accordance with the bakery specialties business unit strategy, and providing the relevant key account sales focus and technical support.Maintaining a Customer focused sales approach.Developing relationships with key decision makers within the bakery / food manufacturing industry.Performing technical trouble shooting at manufacturing bakery companies resolving complaints and queries on products.Increasing sales volume and value primarily for yeast, but also across product categories.Achieving profit margins.Handling price negotiations and product costing.Preparing for and attending tradeshows.Reporting on sales variances, market trends, competitor activity and opportunities.Managing regional budget preparations.Salary package is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
