Job Description:Management of Maintenance department to ensure optimum machine availability at all timesEffective utilizations of the plant preventative maintenance program for both the equipment and tooling used for the production processContinuous improvement of process and machinery systemsProgramming and upgrading PLCs, Robots and other softwareEnsure full compliance with the OHS Act on siteCo-ordinate outsourcing of Safety, Contractors, and Cleaning functionEnsure continuous improvements and low cost mechanisms are implemented throughout the plant production processesEnsure that all tooling used by production is in good working condition at all times and liaise with production / technical to ensure tooling preparation is completed timeously and in line with production scheduleIdentify all tooling improvements and manage the tooling program to reduce tooling change over and times.Installation of plant machinery and equipment as requiredBuilding maintenanceElectrical reticulationJob Requirements:NQF 4 qualification + Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Mechanical/Electrical Trade Test (NQF6)5 10 years extensive supervisory experience in a maintenance / tooling environment as an engineer in the Automotive IndustryHydraulic and Pneumatic knowledgeSiemens and Mitsubishi programing experienceKUKA & ABB robot programming experienceSafety device programming experienceFamiliar with mechanical processes, spot welding, press plants, paint plants, toolroom & jigsPreventative maintenance programs / packages / continuous improvement action plansHigh Computer skills on databases, MS Office, and knowledge of Computerized MaintenanceManagement SoftwareAbility to use own initiative.Good people and communication skillsOHS Act (Safety requirements) knowledge
