Datafin are currently seeking candidates for their open Senior Qa Engineer position in Cape Town, Western Cape through Go Job Search. Are you an experienced candidate looking to take up a Senior Qa Engineer role such as with an industry leading company like Datafin?

ENVIRONMENT: DEVELOP and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality as the next Senior QA Engineer sought by a global Dev House in the sphere of Online Gaming. Your core duties will include designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions. You will also review system and feature requirements and apply best testing practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets business needs. You must preferably have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering and ISTQB Foundation Level. You must also have experience in Web & Mobile Testing, Test Management Tools and Agile Testing processes, Git, Confluence, Jira, JavaScript and SQL.DUTIES:Create, maintain, and execute Test Cases for new and existing product features.Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.Be an active member within an Agile team.Develop automated test scripts in alignment with best practices.Maintain test and script repository.Document and report on testing activities – Team player and transparency with your team regarding issues found and understanding test requirements.REQUIREMENTS:Desired Qualifications –Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.ISTQB qualification Foundation Level.Minimum Experience/Skills –Experience in Web and Mobile Testing.Experience in Test Management Tools and Agile Testing processes.Experience with Git, Confluence, and Jira.Experience in JavaScript and SQL.Desirable –Experience in test automation.Experience with testing banking applications and payment methods.Postman and API testing (functional testing + automation).A curious mind and thinking outside the box.Testing iOS and Android devices + Browser testing.Familiar with BrowserStack.Familiarity with certain bug tracking and test management tools.Root cause analysis of a defect and bug logging.Gap finding in business requirements.Test Case Development (positive or negative scenarios) and maintaining your Test Suite.An expert using the Developer console for testing.Testing banking applications and payment methods.Security Testing background.Performance Testing knowledge and tools like JMeter.Geo Testing.Desire to understand software (Whitebox).Test business logic.Strong understanding of HTTP and understanding all the different layer types namely presentation, application, and database layers.Compliance TestingNodeJS and JavaScript.Advantageous –Experience in the gaming industry and banking.ATTRIBUTES:Willingness to learn and grow.Passion for QA.
