Our client, a people centered online business are looking for a Data Analyst to join their team.Job overview:Analytical and solutions focused role – responsible for overall business reporting and analysisBuild and collate reports, presentations, dashboards, analyses and insights on all business facets and establish and enhance dynamic reporting frameworksEnsure that metrics are designed, updated and available to help decision makers track and act on key trends or outcomesWork towards ensuring that data and information collection supports the goal of building a machine learning engine for the businessConsult with stakeholders in and outside of the business – to understand business problems and help analyse, unpack and explore possible issues or opportunitiesSupport the design and build of information and data service solutionsProvide ad hoc reports to assist with marketing campaigns, customer acquisition, retention and financial analysisHelp business account for data quality and integrity by monitoring and reporting and ensuring metadata supports information needsProvides assistance in data and financial modellingEnsures that information is processed confidentially and securelySupports the data warehouse build in identifying and revising reporting requirementsMonitor, analyse and report on industry, customer and competitor trends and opportunities / threatsCollaborate with IT teams to provide specifications and ensure that relevant data deliverables are executedTrain end users on new reports, dashboards, data servicesProvide technical expertise in data storage, data mining and data cleansingRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Bachelor of Commerce5 + years work experience as a Data Analyst or in a related fieldHighly analytical, diligent and accountable with a strong work ethicAbility to analyse existing tools, databases and provide software solution recommendationsHigh level experience in methodologies and processes for large scale databasesDemonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases
