JOB SUMMARY: – JOB DESCRIPTION: Key Performance Areas Timely design of effective jigs, fixtures, fittings and tooling.Commission jigs, fixtures, fittings and tooling and machinery, when required.Review and approval of dimensional reports – ISIR and MDR.Provide technical support to the production team and the manufacturing facilities. This includes problem solving and continuous improvement of quality targets, output targets, costs, product design, technology and capability.Innovation of processes, jigs, fixtures, fittings and tooling, and implementation of innovations.Ensure drawings are created accurately and in accordance with company standards and project timing.Custodian of Tooling Register and filing system for drawings / designs. Must maintain and keep up to date.Any Activity based on operational needs. Minimum Experience/Qualifications Mechanical Engineering – S4 / T4 Diploma or Trade tested Tool, Jig and Die Maker with a minimum of 5 years experience, plus 3 years tool and jig design (using 3D CAD) in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industryProject management experiencePreferably product development experience with automotive products Personal Skills: Practical aptitudeMethodical thinkerGood organizational, planning, tracking progress and time management skillsSelf motivated with ability to take initiativePerform duties with minimum supervisionAttention to detailAbove average communication skills in English – written and verbalDisplay characteristics of trust, respect, integrity and fairness Physical Attributes: Able bodied person who is medically and physically capable of performing physical activities, operate machinery and cope with a high level of stress.Must have code 08 license with own transport.
