FINANCE MANAGER/ SENIOR ACCOUNTANTResponsibilities:• Accountable for all daily, monthly and quarterly accounting processes and procedures;• Preparation and analysis of management accounts and commentary;• Preparation of rolling 4 month forecasts for reporting and funding;• Review and implementation of appropriate processes and controls around expenditure and payments;• Preparation of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal, company and financial accounting guidelines;• Prepare ad hoc reports as required• Responsible for year-end audits;• Prepare, complete and submit statutory returns;• Maintain statutory, secretarial and regulatory records;• Dealing with tax and exchange control matters;• Responsible for VAT returns submissions, maintenance and reconciliations;• Responsible for tax submissions and correspondence.• Attend and contribute to meetings as required;• Comply with all health and safety rules and regulations ensuring own and others’ health and safety at all times. Experience:• Hold a recognized accounting qualification with 1-4 years post qualification experience;• Experience in South African tax and exchange control matters, including interaction with SARS and SARB• A working knowledge of trust accounting & governance• Have experience of working in a small finance team;• Knowledge of appropriate software including: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat Personal Attributes and Skills:• Numerate;• Good verbal and written communication skills;• Good team player, as well as comfortable to work individually;• High level attention to detail;• Highly organized and deadline driven
