Tower Group are currently seeking candidates for their open Storeman – offshore – mining position in Cape Town, Western Cape through Go Job Search. Are you an experienced candidate looking to take up a Storeman – offshore – mining role such as with an industry leading company like Tower Group?

Our client is looking for a Storeman to work on the vessels offshore for 8 weeks, home for 4 weeks;The Storeman is responsible for supervising and managing the mining stores on board; issuing spares, consumables and PPE, record keeping and maintaining the SAGE Evolution inventory management system.Requirements: Certificate in Store Keeping – minimumSage Evolution/Pastel experience – preferredExperiencing in the mining industry – preferredValid passportValid Seafarers medical certificate (RSA/Namibia) – company can assist once offeredValid police clearance – can apply if shortlisted SHES: Ensure compliance with Group Safety and Security policiesComplete Risk Assessments on all activities PRODUCTION: Control and ensure the correct receiving, storing an issuing of all stock itemsMonitor stock levels and reorder timeouslyManage all VDA (Vessel Dispatch Authority) for all items being sent off the vessel. Arrange relevant paperwork as directed by OTMManage receiving resupply, at sea or in port, in conjunction with OTMConduct regular stock count and spares audit and identify redundant and scrap stock as directed by OTMMaintenance and housekeeping of all mining stores REPORTING: Manage Stores documentation processing, using SAGE Evolution inventory management systemGenerate daily and monthly Stores reports as directed by OTM ONLY CANDIDATES WHO MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS WILL BE CONTACTED.
