Please take some time to carefully read through a new job opportunityJob Title: Senior Engineer (Tailings)Location: Gauteng (JHB)Salary: R1.2 – R1 mil The requirements associated with the position are as follows:BEng or BSc (Eng) required5-10 years of relevant experienceBEng in Civil Engineering or similarProfessional registration (PrEng) will be advantageousExperience in the design of tailings storage facilities, return water dams and associated infrastructureExperience in carrying out annual audit inspections on tailings storage facilities and return water damsExperience in surveillance of tailings and/or return water damsExperience in tender and contract documentationExperience in CPTu testing and interpretation preferredExperience in geotechnical investigations considered advantageousGood fundamental understanding and knowledge of geotechnicsExposure to associated civil engineering activities such as hydrology, structural design, dam breach assessments, water balances
