Job Description One of South Africa’s first IPPs with technical teams across the world is looking for a Project Engineer to join their team in Johannesburg. Minimum Requirements:•BEng/BSc/BTech Electrical/Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering•Relevant work experience of 3 -5 years.•Ability to work independently, collaborating with the European technical team•Knowledge of the South African REIPPP program.•Knowledge of procurement processesYour responsibilities will include:Undertake technical aspects of project development•Liaise with technical team in Europe to assess project opportunities and develop engineering aspects, including solar yield analyses and preliminary project designs•Co-ordinate site studies and local engineering aspects of project development•Develop grid connection solution for projects•Establish provisional costings for engineering aspects of projectsPrepare technical documentation for tender submissions•Solar yield analysis•Grid connection•Plant design & engineering•EPC costing•Project schedulesDevelop local procurement processes•Develop supplier database and establish supplier relationships•Develop standard enquiry/tender documentation•Liaise with EPC costing team in Europe to develop detailed project costings•Confirm detailed Scope of Work / Bill of Quantities to be put out on enquiry•Co-ordinate actual enquiry events
