Job Description An opportunity to join one of South Africa’s most reputable renewable energy EPCs. Join a team of motivated, entrepreneurial individuals working towards the common goal of excellence and changing the face of solar C&I solutions in South Africa and Africa.The team is looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join them in either their Johannesburg or Cape Town offices. The Senior Project engineer will lead designs independently and ensure that it complies to regulations and standards and follows good engineering practice. This includes the designing of renewable energy systems, accurately predict project costings, accurately calculating system productions and ensuring the designed systems are robust in operation. The Senior Project Engineer must continually be kept up to date with new technological developments in the Solar PV and Energy Storage Industry making sure the company remains at the forefront of innovative customised solutions to be offered to their clients. Minimum Requirements:•A minimum qualification of B.Eng, BSc. Eng, B.Tech Eng in Electrical engineering.•Registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist•5 – 10 years’ experience, with experience in the design of renewable energy systems•Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software.•The ability to work with multiple disciplines of projects.•The ability to work across multiple projects in parallel.•Excellent organizational, time management, leadership and decision making skills.•Strong written and verbal communication.•Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards and best practices.•The ability to work within budgets and to deadlines.
