Job Description We have an amazing opportunity for an Implementation Engineer/DevOps in Johannesburg!We require a candidate with:•5+ years of experience•Relevant qualification in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or Engineering•Knowledge of DevOps and software testing principles including:•Continuous integration•Test-driven development•Experience in:•Writing production-quality code (Python or Java preferred)•Database architecture and scripting (SQL or MongoDB)•Source control (Gitlab)•Shell scripting (Bash preferred)•Web services (REST) and associated components (JSON)•Working with distributed systems (Apache Zookeeper, Apache Kafka)•Linux environments•Deploying software both on-premise and in cloud environments (AWS, Azure)•Multiple concurrent projects•Designing and writing test cases to ensure code quality•Configuration and test integration of various data sources•Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a range of audiences
