Purpose of this role:Provide clean, well maintained, safe and comfortable homes for tenants.  Manage the entire process in the organisation.  Provide the services of a  clerk of works on all new build and renovations.Duties include:Dealing with maintenance complaintsStaff management – supervise and support staff, ensure that HR documentation is properly completed, ensure safety standards are uheldPlanned maintenance – Inspect building, grounds facilities as well as tenant units to identify maintenance issuesService provider and contracts management – obtain quotations, authorise work with service providersFormulate procedure and forms for quality assuranceUndertake all quality assurance on new buildings and renovations / upgradesUtility managementRequirements:Administrative degree or specific degree in the built environment – idealAbility and aptitude in a trade is a plusA minimum of 5 – 10 years in a management positionKnowledge of Occupational Health and Safety ActDetailed understanding of building trades / standardsUnderstanding of National Building regulationsKnowledge of technical aspects of housing
