Overview Solar Design EngineerThe Solar Design Engineer will be expected to support the project development team in Centurion, Gauteng for a range of functions.Qualifications | Experience: Minimum BEng Electrical Engineering degree/ BSc Electrical Engineering degreeFully proficient in English (verbal and written communication) Competent in the following software: Microsoft Office SuiteSketchupLayoutAutoCADPVSystDrivers license and own car required Requirements: Design of Solar PV systems All mechanical and electrical design and drawings for rooftop, ground-mount and storage systemsCompiling of BOQ (Bill of quantity)Apply and drive Regulatory approvalsQuality control of the system designedProfessional engagement with suppliers and subcontractorsProject management of solar PV plant, from site establishment to internal handoverManagement of timeline, budget and qualityManagement of subcontractorContract managementHealth and safetyProgress reportsClient managementBuilding long term client relationshipsManaging client expectationsSite visits as support service for project development teamSuch other duties as the Company may reasonably require from time to time
