Overview An industry-leading company situated in Mpumalanga is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Planning and Logistics Coordinator to join their team.The successful incumbent for this position will be responsible for Obtaining quotations and negotiating rates with transporters for new contractsLiaising with transportersLiaising with silo managers and farmers, and arranging to loadBooking trucks in to load at silos and farm venuesMovement planning and schedulingCoordinate product delivery schedules with the Execution (Client facing) deskBook trucks in to offload with Execution DeskProcessing of daily transport ordersHandle transport invoice queries and claims, etc.Imports and exports across multi-model transport means (road, rail, maritime)Reports direct to Planning & Logistics Team LeadMatrix reporting to Operations Manager A key focus area for this position will entail:Key requirements: Diploma or Degree in Transport or related fieldMinimum 5 years experience in a similar roleExperience within an office environmentGood communication skills, English and AfrikaansMust be willing to work after hours Essential skills Logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.Ability to work under pressure while always maintaining excellent attention to detail and high a degree of accuracy.Ability to work independently with the minimal review required.Planning, organising and excellent time management skills.Critical thinker with emotional resilience to overcome obstacles.Able to efficiently solve problems relating to sales and transportation of goods.Able to adapt quickly to change.Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
