Job DescriptionThe key areas of responsibility include stock management, ensuring accurate inventory, maintaining and optimising warehouse standards, managing damage occurrences and ameliorating their impact, leading the warehouse team, and managing warehouse budget and control.Role Responsibilities Defining the way how goods are stored to achieve maximum warehouse utilizationContinuously optimizing the warehouse layout to improve the flow of the goodsIdentifying non-turning pallets and initiate corresponding measuresEnsure proper execution of standard warehouse processes (storage, consolidation, shipping and receiving) and exception handlingOrganizing warehouse inventory takingsManage technical equipment and warehouse infrastructure and suppliersMaximize availability of technical equipment and warehouse infrastructureby monitoring maintenance plans. Taking appropriate steps should damages happenSchedules pickup, deliveries and repairs for vendors to ensure a smooth operating warehouse (i.e.waste, fuel, forklift, equipment, etc.)Ensure HSE compliance and cleanliness of the warehouseSupervising warehouse associates and ensuring most efficient team activity possibleAssessing training needs of staff and ensuring execution of trainingOrganizing of shift staffingOrganizing of external staff to cover absences and workload peaksEnsuring all employees understand and follow company policies and proceduresAnalyzing warehouse optimization potentialsGet quotations from and negotiate with suppliersLiaise with customers in relations with shipmentsRepresent warehouse interestsBudget and ControllingDetermine investment needs (new or replacement)Define and initiate measures based on target performance comparison and interpretation of available KPI’sInvoice checkingResponsible to report any risks identified for Quality and Food Safety Management where food contact product is produced in the plantEnsure on-going awareness of Quality, Food Safety, Environmental and Health and Safety ManagementEnsure housekeeping and general areas facilitates a tidy, neat Environment Behavioural Competencies Excellent organisational skillsExperience in leading teams and maintaining standards of cleanliness, organisation and systemsSafety awareness and quality consciousnessPersonal integrity and accountabilityAbility to give and receive feedbackNatural leader Education and Experience 3 years bachelor’s degree (Associates) in related field or equivalentMinimum 5-10 years of experience in Warehousing/Supply ManagementSupervisory experience required, preferably in WarehousingExperience in supplier management, budget managementCertified Forklift Driver and/or TrainerExcellent computer skillsVehicle and driver’s licenceFluent in English, additional languages advantageous
