Overview Procurement Specialist (Indirect)An FMCG leading company situated in Johannesburg is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Procurement Specialist (Indirect) to join their team.The successful incumbent for this position will be responsible for: Lead Procurement projects to tender goods and/or services in own area of responsibility. This comprises supplier selection based on requirements defined by the corresponding functional owners, market analysis, Non-Disclosure Agreements, requests for information, requests for quotation, commercial negotiation, supplier selection, contract preparation and signing and implementation of Vendor ManagementProcurement Demand Analysis and ValidationImplementation of Procurement Strategy and PoliciesCollective approach in Pricing Strategy and NegotiationsDrive savings, discounts, and rebatesImplement the inventory system which will minimise the amount of working Capital atRisk ManagementBBBEE Strategy ImplementationAssist with the Management of claims and resolution of disputesAdvise senior management on improved procurement processes, management of company assets and replacement strategies.Conduct business review meetings with key stakeholders to assess risk, review future strategies, and identify potential and improvement opportunities.Provide periodic reporting for management on purchasing, controls, and processesPPV analysesCapex project analysesSpend analysesMarket data analyses and presentation A key focus area for this position will entail:Key requirements: University Degree / Diploma, in Supply Chain, Procurement, CIMA or similar3 or more years of operational experience in a Supply Chain/Procurement environmentComputer literate – MS Office – ADVANCEDSound understanding and knowledge of MRP and ERP systemsWorking experience in infant, powder production environment or dairy would be advantageousProject ManagementAdvanced knowledge of Supply chain & Procurement processesInternational procurement experience essential (advantageous if in milk commodities and engineering purchasing)Ability to multitask and prioritize projects
