Job Description An agile, dynamic and professional consulting firm is looking for a Climate Risk Specialist to lead the business unit. This role can be based in Johannesburg or Cape Town.Key Responsibilities:Advanced degree (Masters) in a discipline relevant to climate change (e.g. environmental science, geography, etc)10+ years’ experience in climate change or similar discipline3 – 5 years’ experience in a management or senior technical role.Experience in developing technical and financial proposals for climate change assignmentsAbility to win workTechnical and project management experience in the following•Climate finance•Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) due diligence•Climate risk assessment•Climate change impact assessment•Greenhouse gas inventories/carbon footprint assessments aligned with relevant international standards•Climate change adaptation strategies•Climate change mitigation strategies
