JOB SUMMARY: NEW VACANCY ALERT!An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client in the industrial/automation industry for an experienced Mechanical Designer (industrial automation) to be based at their operations in Gqeberha. JOB DESCRIPTION: Duties: Develop detailed 3D models for mechanical equipment, dies, tools and controls using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment.Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions followed.Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery.Develop detailed manufacturing drawings including general assemble, bill of materials, tolerance and special comments. Requirements: Mechanical diploma or related qualificationAt least three years of draughting / design experience specifically in the machine building arenaExperience with Inventor software
