SHEQ Risk Officer and BuyerA leading industrial manufacturing company situated in Johannesburg is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced SHEQ Risk Officer and Buyer to join their team.The successful incumbent for this position will be responsible for:Buyer Duties:Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers.Maintain a database of approved suppliers and continuously build relationships with suppliers and vendors.Ensure the smooth flow of paperwork to the finance department.Preparing paperwork for regulatory bodies.Understand, work with and possibly help to develop e-commerce.Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements.Continually try to improve and develop business performance within the constraints of legislation, fuel costs and rising environmental pressures.Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness.Ensuring that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards.Advising businesses on increasing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Drafting reports and making written recommendationsSHEQ Risk DutiesCompile and maintain safety files and other related relevant files for customers and tender applicationsConduct pre implementation risk assessments on new sites when required and identify risk mitigation measures in conjunction with contractorsReview Contractor Risk Assessment.
