ENVIRONMENT: A fast-paced Investment Firm is looking for an Automation Test Lead who has the passion, drive, strong technical and problem-solving skills. As a Test Lead, you play a critical role in leading people, managing the planning, preparation, and execution of testing activities within each test level, solving the many complex challenges along the way, and using some of the industry’s latest technologies. This role will also provide you with the opportunity to provide sound technical guidance and mentorship and contributing to the implementation of effective QA processes.Automation is a key, so you expected to have a strong coding background to assist in building the automation systems to deliver this world class software rapidly.DUTIES:Contributing to the implementation of the test strategy, test processes, procedures and ensuring adherenceManaging the planning, preparation, and execution of testing activitiesSolving complex testing specific problems, proposing different scenarios and approaches across multiple systemsIdentifying and implementing ways to test more efficiently in the teamMonitoring progress of testing efforts and taking corrective action where required, including escalating risks and issues as and when required to the Test Manager and/or other relevant partiesCollaborating with Domains to implement QA best practices across Retail ITImplementing testing initiatives, influencing, mentoring, recruiting, managing, coaching, and providing direction to Test AnalystsDriving the improvement of manual and automated test coverageDriving implementation of continuous improvement and preventative actions & increasing maturityWorks with Tech Leads on the design of the final solution, ensuring its testabilityLooking to resolve testing issues and challenges across teamsREQUIREMENTS: Conducts regular code reviewsCan actively contribute and drive improvement in the team’s pipelineEnsures the automation of tests in-sprint, at the appropriate levelContributes to broader framework development within their domainCompetent in automating across the full-stack and able to mentor others in this space tooStrong mentorship, leadership and technical skills are a must.CRM, BPM or Transaction Domain knowledge is advantageous Holistic understanding of the test development life cycleATTRIBUTES:Setting high standardsConducting reviewsStanding firm on critical risks across domainActively identifying and mitigating cross-domain risksLeading by exampleHolding team members accountableAdding value to the team, by building positive team moraleSeeking out others to share information and assist in problem solvingActively soliciting and offering feedbackResponding well to suggestions from othersLeadership for othersBringing learning into the team
