JOB SUMMARY: An organization that has become the leading management and communication system in residential estates in South Africa, is looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to join their team on a Hybrid set up in Randburg. The company is looking for a Development Manager that will create and maintain an environment in which the feature teams can operate and deliver world-class solutions.The successful applicant will be responsible for the overall development life cycle, Agile processes and tools for the various feature teams, manage the DevOps activities, assist with problem solving and 2nd line support, while also maintaining and continuously improving the above platform. The team consists of 3 feature teams with 4+ developers JOB DESCRIPTION: Qualifications: MatricRelevant bachelor’s degree (e.g. B.Eng. Computer , BSc Computer Science or IT etc) advantageous Requirements: 8+ years of Software Development experience4+ years of experience in building and leading strong development/engineering teams Skills Required: Cloud, preferably AWS experienceHands-on technical expertise in mobile and web-technologiesJavaScript for NodeJS, Mobile and Web App Frameworks (ReactJS/VueJS/Angular)Experience with RESTful APIs and 3rd party integration in generalExposure to Lean and Agile methodologies Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for the overall software development life cycle of the platformWork with product managers and other stakeholders to maintain, prioritize, communicate and deliver the roadmapProvide the feature teams with the appropriate Agile principles and tools that will assist with the measurement and management of these teamsWork closely with the solution and senior developers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product developmentIntroduce best practices for software development and documentation, ensure standardization of components and methods, and deliver solutions that are tested and stableTranslate business requirements into technical solutions, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead development activitiesOperational Excellence – monitoring & operation of production servicesPerformance management and development of direct reports Apply now!
