JOB SUMMARY: Opportunity Available!! Our well known client in the Automotive Sector is looking to employ a Production Plating Manager to join their team in Durban. JOB DESCRIPTION: Job Description: Ensure Plating Plants’ daily performance is above min requirement of 95%Ensure Plating Plants daily 1st Time Buy-off is above min requirement of 85%Formulate and maintain routine equipment maintenance tasks to be performed by group leaders for the plantPlan & support daily, weekly and monthly tank maintenanceConduct weekly Plant Safety checksConduct / oversee MDW meetingsTraining and development of subordinatesReview and update PCD’s (FMEA, CP, PFC ) together with the team if and when requiredContribute to process-related corrective actions and G8D’s / FTRDevelop programs and coordinate trials for new projects until production readinessEngage in Kaizen Activities and establish Capex-requirementsMaintain good housekeeping in all areas, consistently.Adhere to safety rules and regulations, and ensure you wear the required PPE.Engage and stay up to date with information from the company partnerManage two plating plantsManager daily performance usageAvailability of WIP to support internal customers in line with their production planningOversee upkeep of equipment required for plating and inspectionSufficient manpower planning (incl Overtime sheets) for weekly support in term of maintenanceDevelop and maintain a plating jig program, ensuring availability of a sufficient number of jigsStrict adherence to approved BudgetMaintain housekeeping and safety, using correct PPEConsistently adhere to the following:All relevant safety and environmental issues.Housekeeping 5s and maintenance of all areas concerning the Plating PlantMaintenance and control of processes, chemical additions and adjustments.Upkeep of charts and records. Job Requirements: Qualification in /analytical chemistry. Preferred B.Sc. Degree in Chemical Chemical maintenance of electrolytes.5 years’ experience in the chemical analytical industry.5 years management experience
