Job Number 68328 Job Type Permanent Job Title General Manager Computer Skills SAP,WMS Industry Logistics and Supply Chain City Ekurhuleni (East Rand) Province Gauteng Job Description Job Function:Manage all aspects of a sub-division of the company including but not limited to assisting in the creation and implementation of the strategic plans, ensuring the achievement of budgeted profits, overall growth, sustainability, creating and maintaining sound relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.Key Performance Areas:Operational:Set service levels are at optimal levelsOptimal utilization of company assetsCompany assets are maintained and safeguarded at all timesCompliance with all relevant legislationCompletion of external and internal reporting requirements and attendance at relevant meetingsExternal awareness of the general business environment and best practices being adapted/applied to current/new businessStrategic Management:Develop and implement a strategic business plan (SBP) and financial budget for the Business Unit that aligns with that of the companyDevelop a culture of all staff being client-centricFinancial Management:Manage revenue trends at various levels and drive agreed growth strategiesContinual drive on costs management through continuous improvement strategiesAnalyse, interpret, and report on monthly income statements of the various operations within the business unitCompile annual budgets and present them to the Board of Directors Review daily revenue reports and other relevant operational reports to remain informed and take action when requiredProvide input into management meetingsHuman Resources Management:Attain, train, and retain suitable management and staff that will ensure the success of the business unitDrive regular performance management reviews for staff assessment and developmentDemonstrate leadership and motivational skillsMentor and coach subordinates and monitor performance to maximise productivityEnsure sound relations are maintained with relevant unions and shop stewardsManage discipline and conflict resolution in the workplace standards and measure compliance of the following: Service levels are at optimal levelsOptimal utilization of company assetsCompany assets are maintained and safeguarded at all timesCompliance with all systems, policies, and proceduresCompliance with all relevant legislationCompletion of external and internal reporting requirements and attendance at relevant meetingsExternal awareness of the general business environment and best practices being adapted/applied to current/new business
