Job and Company description:My client is a leading global provider of everyday materials made from woodfibre-based renewable resources.They are searching for a Financial Manager to effectively manage all management/financial and distribution controls in line with recognised accounting/auditing standards and procedures and providing appropriate financial advice.As Financial Manager you will be responsible for:Controlling the management and financial function including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.Collating, preparing and interpreting reports, budgets, forecasts, accounts, commentaries and financial statements that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)Ensure that all financial statutory requirements of the organization are met and prepare all supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with the internal and external auditors as necessary.Manage the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets are properly recorded, amortized, and disposed of as appropriate (asset verification and Useful Life Assessments)Develop and analyse information to assess the current and future financial status of the Mill and communicate to the management team.Prepare operational and risk reports for management analysis and produce long-term business plans.Undertaking input into pricing, competitors and factors affecting performance to ensure that the Mills objectives and profitability are met.Plan, direct and coordinate risk and Insurance Brokers to control insurable risks.Ensures that VAT, Customs & Excise Legislation is complied with as well as ensuring that tax benefits available to the Group are duly claimedJob Experience and Skills Required:CA(SA) or Completed B.Com Accounting and Auditing and / or completed CIMAManufacturing or Mining experience is non-negotiable8 plus years of post-graduate experience in Financial or Management Accounting5 plus Years of People Management ExperienceIn-depth understanding of variance Vs. budgets
