Job Number 68677 Skills Forklift licence,Computer Literacy,Good communication skills,Problem solving skills,Be able to work under presure,Strong leadership skills,Supervisory or management skills Industry Steel Industry City Cape Town Job Description Key Responsibilities: • Managing workshop and dispatch activities in the branch• Ensure that work is performed to detail Quality Standards.• Adhere to all departmental and company policies and procedures.• Maintain Workmanship by being effective and efficient in all activities• Pay attention to detail and apply accuracy at all times.• Ensure effective management of people as it relates to leave scheduling, time keeping and supervising, daily resources planning, and schedule tasks as per planned Programme.• Maintain safety standards in line with the Haggie fatal risk standards• Willing to work outside normal working hours if required• Perform any adhoc duties when requested to• Maintain ISO stock receipting procedures• Have an up to date file with job description and competence evaluation on people• Load testing of rigging equipment• Inspection of rigging equipment• Understanding of sling making, steel wire rope and chain• Understanding of swaging• Extensive experience on hydraulic presses• Must be able to splice steel wire rope as well as polysteel ropes Inherent Requirements Qualification & Experience: • Matric or N3• Previous experience on a supervisory level• Must have strong leadership/supervisory/management skills• Must have problem solving skills and be prepare to work under pressure• Must be computer literate• Good communication skills• Good customer relationships• LMI qualification• Forklift license• Rigging qualification Minimum Qualification Any / Matric or N3, LMI Qualification and Rigging certification
