Senior Quantity SurveyorAn industry-leading company situated in Somerset West is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.Minimum requirements: BSc (Hons) or similar qualification in Quantity Surveying that allows for professional registrationRegistered as a Professional with the SACQSPMust be a South African citizen4 years post Pr QS registration experienceProject management qualification or experience beneficialAnalytical thinker with proven problem solvingManage and prioritize complex tasksStrong verbal and written communication skillsCompetency in mathematical and accounting principlesReports, feasibility studies and cost analyses of processesShould be able to manage multiple projects at the same timeExcellent construction- and general project management skillsBe able and willing to mentor and guide junior quantity surveyorsSound knowledge of the JBCC and other relevant building contractsSound knowledge of CIDB standardsHave a working knowledge of quality management systems (ISO :)Responsibilities: Doing estimatesMeasuring Quantities from plans to compile BOQsPreparing tender documentationPreparing variation ordersAttending site meetingsContract AdministrationPreparing Cost ReportsMeasuring and agreeing final accountsProject ManagementQuality AssuranceMulti-disciplinary services co-ordinationTeam co-ordinationOversee projects as neededLiaising with clients and other stake holdersPublic facilities building experience.Preferably experience with Government projects and the South African tender process
