Job DescriptionThe Section Engineer Magnetite Maintenance to join their Magnetite Maintenance department. They will be responsible for the maintenance of the plant machinery by ensuring the availability and reliability of the equipment including compliance with legislation governing the mine.Role Responsibilities Ensuring maintenance of the equipment through planning, leading, organising and controlling.Implementing and executing maintenance strategies to ensure the availability of the equipment.Performing preventative maintenance using condition monitoring techniques for component repairs.Provision of recommendations for improved maintenance of plant and equipment.Ensuring safe installation and proper operation, running and maintenance of all machinery.Responsible for the safe erection and proper maintenance of all buildings, structures and tanks.Ensuring legal compliance of equipment especially TMM, Lifting Equipment, and pressure vessels to the relevant safety standards.Developing and maintaining operational and capital budgets as per the operational and maintenance requirements.Monitoring subordinates and initiating disciplinary action where required. Behavioural Competencies Analytical and problem-solving skillsWell-developed interpersonal and people management skillsExcellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsAbility to utilize resources effectively Education and Experience B. Eng./BSc Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.Maintenance Management skills in a multi-disciplined environment and a demonstrated ability to build supportive relationships and teams.Proficiency in maintenance and strategic planning, organisational development, and leadership.Government Certificate of Competency (GCC Mines and Works).Experience in business improvement and continuous improvement.Tertiary qualification in project management will be an advantageAt least 5 years of experience as an appointed Certified Engineer in terms of the Mine Health and Safety act.Minimum 5 years’ experience in plant maintenance.Advanced computer literacy (MS Office; advanced Excel; SAP user)
