This role will work with various concrete variables, requiring an understanding of the theory or practices underpinning inter-related functional processes across an internal and external value chain.Job Purpose:The purpose of this role is to develop and monitor the implementation of a Pricing Strategy, to guide and advise on margin management tactics, and to monitor margin impact so as to ensure profitable revenue growth of the Company. The role will also be expected to contribute towards establishing a viable Commercial Model and commercial best practices for company.Key Accountabilities and Outputs:Develop Pricing Strategy: Gain insight from internal and external organisational information, modelscenarios and develop the overall Pricing Strategy for the CompanyClearly define the revenue and cost drivers, as well as the applicable business rules by which the Regions should manage margin Define the metrics to monitor and track profitability indicators, and incorporate into revenue reportingMonitor and Track Margin Management:Actively engage with senior leadership to ensure an understanding of set price points and the key principles and business rules by which to manage marginMonitor the impact of margin management practices such as promotions and markdowns Identify trends, variances and advise on mechanisms to optimise profitabilityContribute towards establishing a viable Commercial Model for the Company:Contribute to Customer and Product Segmentation Modelling, and Channel Strategy Development Provide inputs into the Product Portfolio Strategy and stress test the feasibility thereof Contribute towards the crafting of an effective Go-To-Market strategy Contribute to the development of the overall Company Marketing and Sales Plan Support with, and collaborate on the implementation of various Business Development initiativesContribute towards establishing Commercial Best Practices within the Company:Provide input towards, and assist with the successful rollout of Sales Force Automation initiatives Ensure the availability of timely and accurate customer and sales information General Business, Financial and People Management:Actively participate in strategic planning and budgeting processes Drive continuous improvement through streamlining and optimising relevant operational practices, processes and systemsEnsure adherence to operational and financial frameworks of practices, processes, standards and controlsManage cost drivers and take the necessary action to mitigate financial risk and address variances and discrepancies Ensure that the right people capacity is in place and manage employee performance through effective and goal directed people leadership
