Operations Manager – DurbanA machine industrial company situated in Durban is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Operations Manager to join their team.The successful incumbent for this position will be responsible for:The Operations Manager reports directly to the Managing Director and is responsible for coordinating and leading the development and execution of strategies and operational activities of the Workshop,Warehouse, Quality, Projects and Engineering teams. This role sets the context for the output team to ensure their combined efforts are directed towards the delivery of the strategic plan of the company.A major focus of this role is to manage people and systems to achieve the best possible outcomes while achieving safety, environment, quality and cost objectives.Key requirements:Degree in Operations Management, Engineering or a similar fieldLean Six Sigma certification is desiredSolid computer literacySAP exposure will be advantageousManagement/Leadership TrainingLean Six Sigma training advantageous8 years of technical experience and management responsibility in a heavy industrial operational or manufacturing/engineering workshop environment.Previous experience at the executive management level is essential, with sound leadership skills (including the ability to mentor and coach others).Work as part of a cross-functional team with an inclusive management style.Demonstrated ability to plan and manage self and others in a dynamic work environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.Actively displays consistent behaviour that demonstrates commitment through actions to the values.Strong negotiating skills to influence individuals in key positions both within and external to the organization.Knowledge of statutory, corporate and local regulations and policies.Alternatively, you are also welcome to contact at or connect with her on Please note that correspondence will only be conducted with shortlisted candidates for this position.Please consider your application unsuccessful if you do not hear from us within 3 daysTagged as: Management
