ENVIRONMENT: YOUR exceptional precision and meticulous nature as an SMT Technician with 2-3 years in a similar role is sought by a Joburg-based Manufacturer of a comprehensive range of electronics to join its team. You will be responsible for assembling electronic components into circuit boards using specialized equipment. Working closely with Engineers & other Technicians, you will also help ensure that the product built meet quality standards while also testing completed products to identify any issues or problems before they reach consumers. Any experience using Samsung CP40 will prove beneficial.DUTIES:• Inspect parts for defects such as scratches, cracks, or other damage before they are placed into the assembly process.• Install SMT components using hand tools such as soldering irons or tweezers.• Follow company policies regarding waste disposal and recycling of materials.• Install SMT machines by connecting them to power sources and make any mechanical adjustments before using them.• Clean workstations and equipment before and after production runs to ensure that the assembly line is always ready for new work.• Work with Engineers to design new products or troubleshoot existing products for defects.• Install and repair other electronics components such as resistors and capacitors.• Read diagrams and blueprints to determine the best placement of components in a circuit board or other assembly.• Operate computerized equipment such as laser drills, saws, and pick and place robots to position components in a circuit board or other assembly.
