JOB SUMMARY: Opportunity Available!! Our well known client in the Logistics/ Freight Sector is looking to employ a Trailer Technician to join their team in Johannesburg. JOB DESCRIPTION: Job Description: Attend to repair and maintenance of trucks & trailersAirbrake and suspension checksAssist with on-road repairs when required.Maintain levels of productivity and efficiencyGeneral workshop dutiesAssist with housekeeping in the workshop,Assist with safely moving trucksExamine trailers, identify defects, service, and repair according to standards set.Complete all relevant administrative requirements, including, but not limited to service sheets, stores requisitions, technical data sheets etc.Operate electrical and mechanical equipment pertaining to the job, i.e. power tools.Conduct quality checks on repairs done.Adhere to all company risk protocols.Ensure the work area is safe prior to starting work.Regular toolbox inspections, report missing or damaged tools Job Requirements: Grade 12A certificate or Diploma in Vehicle and trailer repairs, mechanics or related field will be an advantage3- 4 Years of experience
