Construction LeaderAn industry-leading company located in Limpopo is currently seeking the expertise of an experienced and motivated Construction Leader to join their team.The Construction Leader will report to the BAL projects and be responsible for overseeing multiple projects at once, as well as serving as the representative at each worksite in dealings with owner-team representatives, contractors and suppliers. The incumbent will be expected to ensure compliance with all company procedures, regulations, and codes of practice, and present progress updates to appropriate management channels regularly.Role responsibilitiesAll safety planning associated with the project construction activitiesLiaising with engineers and contractors to deliver the project safely, on time and within budget, and resolve field engineering queriesEnsuring adherence to all local regulations and statutory requirements in site activities planningLiaising with engineering representatives as required to ensure shutdowns, relocations, tie-ins, etc. are planned safely and promptly with minimum disruptionChairing contractor progress, cost and safety meetingsEducation and ExperienceAppropriate Trade Qualification/Blasting Ticket for Scheduled MinesMedical Bureau Certificate of fitnessRegistration as Professional Construction Manager with SACPCMP or equivalent will be advantageousMinimum 5 years experience as a construction manager/leaderDemonstrated health and safety management focus and extensive knowledge of health and safety management procedures, safe work practices, and applicable legislationWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsEffective report writing skills, planning and organizational skills
