Job Description: Organise work to maximise efficiency and productivityTrain and motivate herdsman to implement the various work systems (Nutrition, herd health and cattle management)Monitor both the work and work systems to ensure direct results are attainedBudgeting and maintaining accurate financial recordsMarketing of stock and organizing cattle to be marketedKeeping of necessary administrative records pertaining to a large cattle enterpriseEnsuring compliance with government regulations and health and safety standardsKeeping up to date knowledge of pests and diseasesOrganizing maintenance/repair of property (fences/handling facilities/equipment)Herd performance according to set standardsGrassland management Job Requirements: Diploma in animal production or agricultural management will be to your advantageAt least 5 years’ experience working with a large beef cattle herd and be able to do all related animal husbandry practices and grassland management
