Network AdministratorWe are looking for a Network Administrator to maintain a reliable, secure and efficient data communications network. The ideal candidate will be able to deploy, configure, maintain and monitor all active network equipment in order to ensure smooth network operation.Responsibilities:Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade corporate customer’s networks and in house serversInstall and integrate new server hardware and applicationsKeep an eye out for needed updatesSupport and administer third-party applicationsEnsure network security and connectivityMonitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknessesSet up user accounts, permissions and passwordsResolve problems reported by end userDefine network policies and proceduresSpecify system requirements and design solutionsResearch and make recommendations on server system administrationRequirements:Proven experience in a network administrator roleHands on experience in networking, routing and switchingExcellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructureExperience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desiredAbility to set up and configure server hardwareFamiliarity with backup and recovery software and methodologiesGreat at organising, prioritising and multitaskingJuniper, Cisco, CWNA or BCNE trainingBSc degree in Computer Science or related field
