Overview Shift LeaderAn industry-leading company situated in Cape Town is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Shift Leader to join their team.The successful incumbent for this position will be responsible for Plan, communicate and handover production or operational proceduresSupervise production and personnelConduct production data checks continuouslyConduct hourly factory/ process tours to check GMPs and assist with production speed and quality specificationsReporting of production variancesEnsure production targets and yield are metEnsure maintenance breakdowns are addressed soonest and reportedCoordinate human resources activities and resolve personnel problemsAdminister training to personnelManage performance of direct reports, ensuring agreement of targets, measuring performance against agreed goals and addressing non-performance issuesMaintain a high standard of food safety standards, procedures and quality through the development and progressive evaluation of sound hygiene and housekeepingCompliance with SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) acts and regulations as well as food safety standards and procedures Key requirements: Senior Certificate (Grade 12)Relevant Diploma/ Degree3 years of supervisory experience in an FMCG environmentProfessional, enthusiastic, hardworking, well-organized and able to prioritizeAble to work with others and willing to contribute to the teamStrong leadership abilitiesStrong personality with a high sense of discipline and organizational skillsAn assertive, team-spirited, proactive and hands-on approachGood understanding of products produced by Rhodes Food Group
