Duties:Manage and co-ordinate the day to day project draughting and documentation requirementsManage draughting, documents, and staff to deliver the drawings within required project timeframeEnsure all drawings and bill of materials are delivered on-timeFormulate and present departmental feedback at management meetings including departmental financial budget relating to internal and external labourManage the checking/approvals of all drawings issued by departmentWork closely with the client/project/engineering teamEnsure that all outputs from the department conform to the required technical standards and specificationsEnsure that all processes are compliant to the QMS system. Manage improvements within your departmentResponsible for promoting uniformity of TEKLA modelling internally and externallyDevelop, implement, and enforce internal department procedures and standardsResponsible to consult with Engineers on new or changed designs before processing as jobsResponsible to maintain an accurate electronic drawing office file structure for jobs to assist in as-built management and full traceabilityEnsure sufficient checking of drawings and BOMs to eliminate NCRsManage and develop depart staffManage external draughtsman within project scopeInteract with other departments as requiredManage all disciplinary and grievance issues (complaints) in line with HR policyAction any other reasonable and lawful instruction as and when requiredRequirements:Matric/Grade 12Formal qualification advantageousAt least 5 years’ TEKLA experience / or structural engineering experienceDrawing Office Management experience of at least 3 years
