JOB SUMMARY: Opportunity Available!! Our leading client in the Automotive Sector is looking to employ a Process Engineer to join their dynamic team in Rosslyn. JOB DESCRIPTION: Job Description: Ensure adherence to project and timing plans in line with the product development timing programs.Ensure the process and Industrial Engineering activities are performed to meet project and quality planning requirementsTo manage project implementation and industrialization of new products and technologiesTo provide support of paint technology to the manufacturing.To ensure a high standard in the introduction of paint technology, recipes, painting process, facilities and equipment in the painting plant.To ensure the accurate process inputs, time studies and line optimisation activities are implemented.Ensure the quality, safety, health and environmental requirements are met at all stages of process planning and production industrialization.Continuous improvement in all aspects of process and industrial engineering activities.Ensure accurate paint Robot programming and simulationTrouble shooting paint related or Robot related/paint mixing issues online.The management of expense and capital purchase in accordance with set budgets.Ongoing testing and qualification of paint and paint processes in the paint plant. Accountability: To ensure the accuracy of Bills materials, process inputs and the design of the processes.The testing and approval of paints, recipes and customer ISIR submission.The effective implementation of the product industrialization and process design.High quality and standard of process and industrial engineering activities.Ongoing process optimisation and improvements. Key Performance Arears: Develop new painted plastic products, utilizing new and current technology to enable local and international competition in line with Business plan.Liaise with departments to obtain timeous technical information and ensure its relevant utilization in plastic product development.Develop processes for painted plastic products in line with customer quality and project and specification and selected technology.Generate process input sheets to define process steps and cycle times.Conduct quality planning activities (APQP), process FMEA’s and control plans on products to ensure conformance to specification at design release and ongoing production.Asses current painted plastic components and processes in view of design improvement.Facilitate jigs and fixtures design and fabrication.Optimize paint plant settings and processesBOM/cycle time audits and process input changes.Develop work instructions and process control sheet.Conduct New trials.Process Training to be done to shop floor personal.Closing and tracking of process related corrective actions and G8Ds.Implement and obtain ISIR/PSW approvals on new or changed products.Implement and maintain maintenance schedule for paint shop equipment.Robot programming and training for required personalTrack and oversee all plant para meters and controls to ensure plant is operating at peak and to all set specificationsCarry out/ oversee paint testing to ensure the paint parameters meet the customer and paint suppliers’ specification. Job Requirements: Minimum 5 years’ experience in process &Industrial paint technology in the Automotive manufacturing automotive industryMinimum 5 years’ paint Robotic application and programming experience at an Automotive painting facility.Paint technology/paint polymer technologist/
