Minimum requirements for the role:Tertiary qualification in either Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Industrial Engineering is preferred for the role.Previous experience having worked in a Projects / Operations role within the chemical or engineering industries is essential.The successful candidate must be able to read engineering drawings.Previous experience having worked with clients on various chemical or engineering projects as well as being able to custom design equipment for clients is essential.The successful candidate must have excellent people skills as well as management skills.Must be computer literate.Previous experience having worked on turnkey solutions and various maintenance projects is essential.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Overseeing and managing all projects and maintenance solutions for various companies within the group specialising within paper recycling, water treatment and purification and vapor recovery, activated carbon for various filtration systems, mining chemical etcManaging and driving a large team of people both on in house projects and at customer sites.Managing and implementing production efficiency interventions to improve output at the right quality.Redesigning plant processes and systems to streamline operational activity.Overseeing overall equipment maintenance and capital projects.Executing project justification, scope and planning for capital projects.Ensuring the quality of products conforms to customers standards as well as compliance to ISO, FSSC and all legislative requirements.Developing and revising product specifications to meet customer requirements.Managing customer relationships through customer visits and audits.Developing new applications with the customers and successfully execute trials.Providing technical assistance to customers on various products and equipment.Overseeing staff resource allocation across operations to minimise labour costs.Overseeing the production facility to ensure business production objectives are achieved.Managing the production planning in line with customer demand ensuring emergency capacitySalary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
